I am so glad I chose Amy Sparks’ Picture Perfect Makeup and Hair for my wedding day!  I am African-American and all of my bridesmaids are of different ethnicities.   One of my biggest concerns was that my makeup should look natural and truly match my skin tone.  Amy and her crew worked easily with the variety of skin tones.  They also did some sexy bouncy hair for a few of the ladies.  They made me and my girls look fabulous and flawless.  In fact, I was in awe of how gorgeous everyone in my bridal party looked…from bridesmaids to mothers and mothers-in-law to grandmothers.  We could have all been models in the latest bridal magazines.  The best thing was that we all felt so confident and beautiful because we knew our makeup was hot!

Amy Sparks is a genius. No really, she is. I have thin, uncooperative hair and Amy with hair dresser, Imelda worked their magic. As you can see, they turned my unimpressive hair into gorgeous ringlets (with some help of extensions) that even Victoria ’s Secret models would envy. As far as makeup is concerned, I was blown away by how gorgeous Amy made me feel inside and out. My makeup also lasted throughout the entire day and night of my wedding. Amy also uses the latest techniques in makeup by using an airbrush. Aside from her incredible talents at hair and make up, she also comes equipped with the ability to make anyone feel at ease with her warm spirit. I was beyond nervous the day of my wedding, but when Amy arrived (on time of course) she not only was a consummate professional, but she made me look gorgeous and filled my dressing room with laughter and joy. Beauty Geniuses!!! I am an actress and I have had my hair and makeup done several times, but when it came to my wedding I wanted to look beyond beautiful. I have heard wonderful things from other actress and they all said Amy Sparks is the best, after all she is a three time Emmy nominee. Amy was so easy to work with. She was able to work me in on short notice, to have a hair and makeup trial done. When I got to the salon she and Imelda Gonzalez was so welcoming. They both were so helpful in deciding hair styles that would work with my taste, and hair type, and makeup colors that would be best for me and my skin type. (I am super picky about my skin, I have super sensitive skin) The products Amy used are great, she has a spray on Foundation that is super awesome! They took their time making sure that everything was how I wanted it. I left feeling gorgeous and ready for a night out on the town. Amy and Imelda are such a great team together, they traveled all the way up to Santa Barbara for my wedding they arrived on time, and ready to jump into action. Imelda started with my sister’s hair who by the way has thick hair! Imelda did a fantastic job picking out a style and making it look great. Amy did my makeup in the meantime and she was so fun to work with! She had everything set up and not only did she apply the makeup to make sure it was comfortable for me, she applied it so it would last all night and not look heavy or cakey. It felt and looked flawless and natural, she accented my best features to make them pop! She was more like being around a friend, she made my wedding party and I feel so at ease. When she was finished with my makeup Imelda worked on my hair, My hair looked beautiful! Better then the models in the magazine! When I was finished with my hair and makeup, I looked better then I could have ever expected. I was ecstatic and was full of confidence, cause I looked so amazingly beautiful. It was breath taking! Everyone including strangers commented on how wonderful my hair and makeup looked, it was completely flawless, and the best part was that it lasted all night, and looked just as good when my wedding was over, as it did when it was it was applied 12 hours before. Amy and Imelda both gave me a little touch up bag with hairspray and makeup for touchups to help keep me looking flawless the whole night. It was a perfect size to keep in my purse. Amy not only did my wonderful makeup and Imelda worked wonders with my hair, They both were also a big help in making me feel relaxed, so I was ready to go with major confidence in the way looked and felt.I highly recommend them! I will continue to use them again and again, anytime I need my hair and makeup done for an Hollywood event or any event for that matter. You guys are the best!

One of the easiest and best decisions I made was choosing Amy and her talented team of hair and makeup artists for my wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Thanks for doing a fantastic job! Planning a wedding in Santa Barbara from New York was a challenge and picking a group of people to do hair and make up for 14 women and girls seemed impossible. I didn’t have time to do a trial run which added to the difficulties of choosing the right person(s). Of all the vendors I contacted, Amy was the most responsive and provided valuable insight. I wanted a modern look and was very confident in her abilities well before I met her. Amy and her team were very professional and accommodating. They were happy to fuss with our hair styles and make up until we were completely satisfied. Everyone looked beautiful! There was a technical problem with the my dress and I had to be sewn in (oh, the horror). Amy and her team stayed late to make sure I looked perfect and thanks to them my hair and make-up looked flawless through the fiasco and through the 8 hour event. “I couldn’t have asked for anything better, than what I found in Amy and Imelda! During my trial, they looked carefully at photos I brought and partnered with me on what might look best for my face & dress. They never tried to convince me to do something I didn’t want to do and on the contrary, only enhanced (or covered up areas) in the best possible way. We worked together to adjust things so I knew it would turn out the way I wanted on my wedding day… and it did! Amy is very quick to respond to questions. Her prices are very fair and they were exactly on time the day-of the wedding. They were quick to set-up, very discreet and were my sea of calm, as I sat there, in the midst of 15 other people running around the room. They packed up quickly and left quietly. No fuss, no drama. My mother and some of my bridesmaids are non-makeup wearing women and hadn’t wanted me to spend money for makeup, but on the day-of, upon seeing Amy’s work, they completely wished they had. Amy gave me the ‘natural’ look I wanted… but don’t be fooled, there was a lot of effort/makeup that actually went into this look. Believe me, I (and I’m sure most actresses) never look this good ‘naturally’. As people, you’ll love them too. They are down to earth and you don’t feel intimidated like at salons. I looked long and hard and can’t feel luckier to have found them. Completely worth my time to write this.”
